Travel Insurance Options + Waiver

✨ Protect Your Trip With Travel Insurance

Travel is full of unforgettable moments — and every now and then, an unexpected twist. Adding travel insurance can help keep your plans on track, offering support when life throws a curveball. Below you’ll find two coverage options to explore. Choose the one that feels right for your trip, or opt out if you prefer. Either way, we’re here to help you travel with confidence.

🌟 What to Know Before You Choose

Before selecting your coverage, here are a few helpful reminders to make sure you feel confident about your decision:

  • Coverage details come directly from the insurance provider. Please take a moment to read the full terms so you know exactly what’s included — and what isn’t.
  • Benefits vary by plan. Things like cancellation reasons, medical limits, or baggage coverage differ depending on the option you choose.
  • Some exclusions may apply. Pre‑existing conditions, high‑risk activities, or certain trip circumstances may not qualify for coverage.
  • Your choice won’t affect your travel booking. Selecting or declining insurance simply helps us shape your trip the way you prefer.
  • If something feels unclear, we’re here to help. You’re never on your own — reach out anytime with questions.

❓ Travel Insurance FAQ

Q1) Do I really need the Essentials plan for cruises and international trips?
A: We strongly recommend Essentials because it significantly increases medical coverage ($50,000) and emergency evacuation ($1,000,000), includes Hospital of Choice, and adds Missed Connection — all especially helpful at sea or abroad.

Q2) What does “Hospital of Choice” mean?
A: With Essentials, if you need ongoing care after stabilization, transportation can be arranged to an adequate licensed facility — and includes access to a hospital of your choice when medically appropriate and authorized.

Q3) How does the pre‑existing condition waiver work?
A: Both plans include a waiver if you purchase within 15 days of your initial trip payment, insure all prepaid non‑refundable costs, and you’re medically able to travel when you buy. (Other listed conditions apply — see the plan for details.)

Q4) What’s the difference between Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption?
A: Cancellation helps when you must cancel before departure for a covered reason (up to Trip Cost, plan limits apply). Interruption helps if you must cut your trip short or rejoin it due to a covered reason — Essentials goes up to 150% of Trip Cost to cover additional transportation and related costs.

Q5) When does Trip Delay coverage kick in?
A: Basics: after 12+ hours, up to $100/day (max $500). Essentials: after 5+ hours, up to $200/day (max $1,000). Save receipts for meals, lodging, and essentials.

Q6) What if my bag is delayed?
A: Basics: up to $100 after 24+ hours. Essentials: up to $400 after 24+ hours. This helps with Necessary Personal Effects (think clothing and toiletries — not jewelry or alcohol).

Q7) Are there exclusions I should know about?
A: Yes. Like most policies, these plans list exclusions (e.g., certain activities, open tickets, travel for medical treatment). Please review the Exclusions and Limitations section of your chosen plan.

Q8) If I insure $0 trip cost, what do I get?
A: You won’t have Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption is limited to $500 return air only. Other benefits (e.g., medical, evacuation) apply per the plan.

Q9) How long do I have to change my mind?
A: Both plans include a 15‑day look: you can cancel within 15 days of the effective date (or before your initial departure date, whichever comes first) for a premium refund, as long as no claim has been filed.
